Sol Tec and Riverwatcher Offering Small Business Subscription Sites
October 22, 2003

Sol Tec and Riverwatcher are excited to offer a new, easily-deployed web site solution especially tailored for small businesses and small organizations. Riverwatcher Small Business Sites offer a convenient way to have a basic web site that can be managed by the business through an easy-to-use web site manager.

“Many small businesses need a simple web site as they are getting up and running, but they may not have the startup capital to invest in a large web development project,” says Lanette Cannady, Director of Business Development for Riverwatcher and Sol Tec. “We developed these small business sites as a way to help businesses realize the potential of a web site to enhance their marketing. We are excited to be able to partner with many small businesses in the Champaign-Urbana area.”

Setting up a Small Business site is a simple process. For a reasonable set up fee of about $375 to $500, depending on the modules chosen for the site, Riverwatcher creates a development site. On this site, the client can enter their own copy and photos with some brief instruction from Riverwatcher. Clients can prepare their own artwork with logos and branding for the site, or opt for Riverwatcher’s design for their site. Once the site’s content is entered, the site is launched. Clients pay one reasonable monthly fee of about $92.50 for the use of the web site as well as reliable Sol Tec web hosting and an email address.

A variety of modules, or sections, are offered with Small Business sites. Clients can choose a combination of email feedback forms, text pages, online stores, links pages, calendars and more for their sites. The site manager allows clients to maintain their own content and order information from any web browser at any time. Making changes is as simple as filling out a form on the web.

Riverwatcher has been designing and building web sites for businesses and organizations small to large for over five years. They have designed and programmed sites for clients such as KornickLindsay, University of Illinois College of Engineering, Royse & Brinkmeyer Apartments and Marvin Zonis, among many others. Small businesses beginning their partnership with Riverwatcher can look forward to working with a firm with the capabilities to design and program future sites as their business grows.
